Share the Sub | Terms of Use

1. Purpose

These general terms of use apply without restriction, reservation or prejudice to all the services offered by Share the Sub on the https://sharethesub.com (hereinafter known as the “Site”).

The Site is a platform that offers users/subscribers (hereinafter known as the “Subscribers”) who have subscribed to subscribe certain number of entertainment sites and platforms offered by distributors (hereinafter the “Distributors”) and which may benefit users, in contact with users who would like to subscribe to one or more of these sites and platforms (hereinafter known as “Subscribers”).

The users/subscribers are hereinafter referred to as the “Subscribers”.

In particular, the Site allows users/subscribers to share the price of the relevant Subscriptions (hereinafter the “Services”).

The purpose of these general conditions is to define the terms and conditions of use of the Services and to define the rights and obligations of the parties in this context.

2. Services provided to Subscribers

The Subscriber who wishes to take out a Subscription via the Website acknowledges and accepts that his/her subscription is conditional upon acceptance of the Subscription by Share the Sub.

In the event of a positive response to this request, the Subscriber will receive confirmation by any written means and in particular by email. In the event of a negative response to this request, the Subscriber will be notified by any written means and in particular by email and will be given alternatives which Share the Sub may suggest.

The Subscriber may choose to make several simultaneous Subscription requests for the same Distributor. In this case, the Subscriber acknowledges and accepts that in the event of simultaneous positive responses to these request, Share the Sub will not refund the amounts charged and will provide the subscriptions accordingly.

3. Financial conditions

3.1 Currency and Promotions

Unless otherwise stated, prices are in Singapore dollars. Should the payment method (i.e. credit or debit card) is not issued in Singapore (e.g. US issued card), additional administrative fee may be levied.

Share the Sub reserves the right, at its own discretion and on terms to be determined by it, to offer promotional offers or price reductions.

3.2 Price review

The prices referred to in the article “Prices” may be revised by Share the Sub at any time, at its discretion.

The Subscriber shall be informed of such changes by Share the Sub by any useful written means at least one (1) month before the revised prices come into force.

Once in force, the new prices apply when the Subscription is renewed.

3.3 Terms of payment

Payment of the Subscription price is made using the Subscriber’s PayLah! wallet, GrabPay, Alipay, WeChat Pay, or credit/debit card number. Implemented by the company Stripe, which processes and handles the Subscriber’s payment details for this purpose. Stripe’s Term of Use can be found at https://stripe.com/en-sg/ssa.

The price of the Subscription is due and will be charged on the day the Subscription has commenced. The amount corresponding to the first month’s Subscription, in accordance with the conditions set out on SharetheSub.com and if necessary, pro-rate the 2nd charge of the next month to synchronize with the original subscription billing cycle.

The Subscriber assures Share the Sub that he/she has the necessary authorizations to use the chosen method of payment. The Subscriber undertakes to take the necessary steps to ensure that the price of the Subscription can be charged automatically.

The Subscriber also agrees that Share the Sub do not offer refunds for pro rata subscriptions unless otherwise required by law.

Merchant fee (also known as “payment processor fee”) is being borne by subscribers to keep our prices low and is non-refundable.

However, subscribers may choose to opt for payment method that doesn’t incur merchant fee.

4. Late payments and payment incidents

The Subscriber is hereby informed and expressly accepts that he/she will renew their subscription within three (3) days prior to their service expiry day. Failure to do so will result in service lapse.

For avoidance of doubt, payment processing fee paid is non-refundable.

5. Duration of the Services, cancellation

The Services are subscribed to for the period Subscribers have paid. Unless otherwise renewed by the Subscriber, the service will lapse in the last three (3) days of subscription renewal date.

The User may renew the Services at any time, by subscribing to the service accordingly prior to last three (3) days.

6. Obligations of the User

Without prejudice to the other obligations set out herein, the User undertakes to comply with the following obligations.

6.1 The User undertakes, when using the Services, to comply with the laws and regulations in force and not to infringe the rights of third parties or public order.

6.2 User agrees to provide his/her information truthfully – including but not limited to First Name, Last Name, Email address, Contact Number, Date of Birth and Postal Code. We reserve the right to not provide service if we have reasons to believe transactions are fraudulent or information provided by user does not portray a real person or truthful information and no refunds will be provided.

6.3 User agrees that any other specific offers or special offer terms applies when signing up for special promotions. User will provide the necessary documents or proof of ID as and when required. User also declares that he/she meets the eligible criteria for the Special Offer. If he/she is deemed ineligible by Share the Sub upon checks, the subscription will be cancelled with immediate effect. No refund will be provided.

6.4 The User acknowledges that he/she has taken note on the Site of the characteristics and constraints, particularly technical, of all the Services. The User is solely responsible for his/her use of the Services and in particular for the relationships he/she may establish with other Users and the information he/she communicates to them within the framework of the Services. It is the User’s responsibility to exercise appropriate caution and discernment in these relationships and communications. The User also undertakes to respect the usual rules of politeness and courtesy in his exchanges with other Users.

In this respect, the Subscriber acknowledges and accepts that he/she undertakes not to modify the information related to the Subscription and available when connecting to the Distributor’s website, in particular the contact details and payment information.

The Subscriber is also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the login and password and undertakes in this respect not to communicate them to a third party and to use them for purely personal purposes.

Furthermore, the Subscriber acknowledges and accepts that the Subscription may only be used in the geographical area specified in the Distributor’s general terms and conditions. Consequently, in the event of an attempt to connect outside the geographical area specified, he/she undertakes to inform the Share the Sub in order to avoid any suspicion of fraud.

6.5 The User undertakes to make strictly personal use of the Services. Consequently, he/she shall not assign, grant or transfer all or part of his/her rights or obligations hereunder to a third party in any way whatsoever.

6.6 The User undertakes to provide Share the Sub with all necessary information and, more generally, to cooperate actively with Share the Sub for the proper performance of this Agreement.

6.7 The User is solely responsible for the content of any kind (editorial, graphic, audio, audiovisual or other, including the name and/or image chosen by the User to identify him/her on the Site) that he/she disseminates within the framework of the Services (hereinafter referred to as “Content”).

The User guarantees Share the Sub that it has all the rights and authorizations necessary for the dissemination of such Content.

The User undertakes to ensure that such Content is lawful, does not infringe public order, public morality or the rights of third parties, does not violate any legislative or regulatory provision and, more generally, is in no way likely to incur the civil or criminal liability of Share the Sub.

6.8 The User acknowledges that the Services offer an additional, non-alternative solution for accessing Distributors’ Subscriptions and that this solution is not a substitute for any other means the User may have to achieve the same objective.

6.9 The User is informed and accepts that the implementation of the Services requires that he/she be connected to the Internet and that the quality of the Services depends directly on this connection, for which he/she is solely responsible.

7. User’s guarantee

The User indemnifies Share the Sub against all claims, complaints, actions and/or demands whatsoever that Share the Sub may suffer as a result of the User’s breach of any of its obligations or warranties under these terms and conditions.

He/she undertakes to compensate Share the Sub for any loss it may suffer and to pay all costs, charges and/or fines that it may have to bear as a result.

8. Penalties for non-compliance

In the event of a breach of any of the provisions of these general terms and conditions or, more generally, a breach of the laws and regulations in force by a User, Share the Sub reserves the right to take any appropriate measure and in particular to :

Share the Sub also reserves the right to terminate the User’s access to the Services:

Termination automatically leads to the deletion of the User’s Account, without prejudice to any other consequences that may arise in application of these general conditions.

9. Security

Users agree to make every effort to secure his/her account by ensuring the following:

Users agree that the subscription account information may be reset from time to time to ensure security of the subscription accounts.

10. House Rules - Streaming Account

Upon signing up for a streaming account, in addition to the general terms of use set out, subscribers/users agree to the following:

• Do not stream more than what he/she has subscribed to (e.g. one (1)).
• Profile name must be correctly identify you – strictly no obscene or crude profile name.
  The following format of profile name is valid:
  • Share the Sub username
  • Share the Sub displayname
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Initials (e.g. Name is Thomas Ong, you may change to TO)
• Should there be a violation or complaints from co-subscribers that they are unable to stream due to max concurrent stream reached, we will investigate and if necessary, issue warning to the violator.
• We also reserve the right to terminate the violator’s subscription with immediate effect should there be a repeat complaint and there shall be no refunds for the remaining of the subscription period.
